They are about 20-30% quieter than a standard bass drum beater. If you are trying to reduce the bass drum impact for your downstairs neighbor, this will be a nice addition but only if combined with a soundproof stage like platform. It will not be enough on it's own. However, the Kat beaters are more gentle on your electric bass drum heads than a standard beater.
