This was not just a fun project, it really was a performance upgrade. Equally important it shrunk the footprint to something more manageable for a desk top printer. This project really did have me nervous because I read so many posts online about people complaining that after they did this, their printer didn't work the same and they were going to have to remove it and I really did not want to deal with that or mess up my printer that worked perfectly good.
