Hello and Welcome Back to 3 Liters and A Prom Dress! Any cloud lovers out there? Anyone else willing to stare at the sky all day? I’m here, looking for friends. These were some of the most interesting clouds I’ve ever seen. I still don’t know what they’re called. I remember thinking, Holy crap — what are those about to do? Worse, they were three miles ahead of me, right over where I’d parked my car. I didn’t have a choice but to walk straight toward them. I could have camped for the night, but would that have been better? The forecast didn’t mention rain. The rangers hadn’t said anything about a storm. I’d never seen clouds like that before. I just kept telling myself: get back to the car so you don’t have to drop your pack and scramble for rain gear if the sky opens up, girl. It never rained. Cue Blind Melon: No Rain. But those clouds set my mind spinning — running through backup plans, alternate endings, everything that could go wrong. In the end, I made it back to the car like the clouds weren’t even there. How many times in life do we think, this is going to be bad, only to find out it was nothing at all? How many worries dissolve on their own? That’s the lesson the clouds gave me that day: scary and beautiful are often the same thing. Maybe that’s why I keep coming back to places like this. For all her unforgiving moments, nature always carries some kind of grace. Sometimes she waits until I’m safely in the car to water the earth. Sometimes she soaks me through. Either way, I’m grateful — for the beauty, and for being there to witness it. HOW I FILM With my phone tucked into a gimbal, I wander the trails like a happy, slightly distracted detective. Most of the time, I’m just walking—breathing in the air, letting the path unfold—but sometimes nature slaps me in the face with beauty so ridiculous I have no choice but to stop. In that instant, I have to decide: do I keep moving, or do I let this moment strike a pose and live forever on video? There’s no filming schedule, no pro-level gear—just me, the outdoors, and a firm commitment to follow whatever catches my eye (or nose… or ears). The crunch of gravel, the scent of pine, the way light spills across a canyon wall—these little things are the real landmarks of the trip. Because hiking isn’t just about the destination—it’s about the journey… and occasionally about talking to yourself out loud because you just saw a squirrel do something weird. LOCATION Unless I’m in a National Park, I don’t tag or name the places you see here. These videos aren’t about giving you one more dot on a map—they’re about lighting that spark to plan your own adventure, or simply letting you sit back and enjoy the beauty that’s out there, no coordinates required.
