On this week's episode of Dynamic Discussions David and Greg take a deep dive into the different D-Rings on a full body harness. The question is "What are the differences between the D-Rings on a Harness and what are they used for?" There can be many different D-Rings on a fall protection harness, but the most common and standard one is the back D-Ring. All of the fall protection harnesses on the market will have this bak D-Ring at minimum. For jobs that require a ladder climbing system, a sternal D-Ring is something you might find on your harness and can be used for fall arrest. Side D-Rings can be found on the waist portion of some harnesses are only used for worker positioning, not for fall arrest. Shoulder D-Rings are common for confined space applications and can be used for rescue and retrieval. Depending on your work environment, you might just need as many D-Rings as you can get on your harness! Malta Dynamics Harnesses: https://maltadynamics.com/product-cat...
