The origin of the river is from Eau Bleue reservoir. What is breathtaking with it, is the turquoise water. This is why this waterfall is unique compared to others in the island. The turquoise glare is from underground water springs in summer. In addition, be careful when swimming there. Few drowning cases have been reported since recent years. The 7 meter water depth is can be very dangerous for those who do not take their precautions. Additionally, if you choose to visit all the three waterfalls, you will need to do a short hike and trek. They are found in a small valley, probably 8-10 meters of steep descent. Rope is not needed to go down but can be handy. Furthermore, the tracks can be muddy in rainy season.
