In 2014, I was brought on to compose music for a retro 2D platform game—the first time I had ever gotten the chance to score an outside project. Development eventually fell through, but in my time with the team, I had composed nearly the entire soundtrack, in varying draft stages—and now, for the first time, this OST sees a public release! It was a really fun experience and very gratifying to hear my work in an actual game! The devs specifically asked for a style of sound reminiscent of soundtracks written for Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 titles, notably citing Grant Kirkhope's work for Rare's N64 classics. I studied a lot of material to mix my own composing style in with these references!
