The Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA) has released video footage and materials from an officer-involved shooting that took place near 3000 W. 21st Pl., Chicago on January 3, 2025. Chicago Police officers responded to a domestic dispute involving a person armed with a knife inside an apartment. When officers arrived, they encountered the armed individual and discharged their weapons. The person was transported to a hospital but was later pronounced deceased. No officers were injured, and a knife was recovered from the scene. This video includes officially released footage as part of the ongoing investigation.
