(RIGHT HANDED) This video contains a stitch tutorial for the Grand Canyon shawl, which is worked in rows. You can add more rows if you prefer it to be longer and less rows if you prefer it to be shorter. For time reasons, this is only a sample size, not the full shawl tutorial. I used a size 4 medium weight yarn and an H/8 (5.00 mm) crochet hook, even though the written pattern calls for a J/10 (6.00 mm). I recommend the larger hook to make the X-sts easier to work, but I didn’t check my original pattern for hook size and chose the wrong one. It still works either way. Also, this pattern is written for sizes L/XL, 2XL & 3 XL. It is generously sized. If you want a smaller size, subtract 16 chains from the L/XL to get the number of chains for a Medium. Then subtract 16 chains from the Medium to get the number of chains for a Small. And so on. All of the stitch counts are available in the written pattern on my blog. The link to that blog post is below. Set to music, I quietly and serenely show you step-by-step how to crochet the stitches needed for this beautiful shawl. I hope you enjoy the video!
