I woke up early at 6 AM, packed my tent, and left the beautiful small town where I had camped last night. It was a peaceful place, and I had set up my tent in a basketball court. Nearby, there was a park, and in the morning, I saw many elderly people walking, exercising, and enjoying the fresh air. It was a calm and refreshing start to the day. 🍊 A Journey Through Rural Sichuan I was heading toward Dujiangyan, an ancient city famous for its irrigation system, and from there, I planned to continue toward Xining. 🚴♂️ As I cycled through the countryside, I noticed something interesting—there were only old men and women working outside. I barely saw any young people in the villages. Most of them had probably moved to bigger cities for work. I also passed by orange farms, and the fresh citrus smell filled the air. 🍊 I stopped at one farm and bought some sweet and juicy oranges—a perfect energy boost for my ride! 🏙️ Reaching Jinyan District – A Crowded City By night, I reached Jinyan District, and it was completely different from the quiet villages I had passed earlier. This place was crowded, busy, and full of young people. The streets were filled with bright lights, tall buildings, and people everywhere. I thought to myself, “Maybe all the young people from the villages are here.” But I still had time, so I decided to keep riding toward Chengdu City. 🏯 Discovering Jiezi Ancient Town After riding 8 km, I reached a beautiful historical site—Jiezi Ancient Town (街子古镇). This was a traditional Chinese village with old wooden buildings, stone-paved streets, and a peaceful atmosphere. It felt like stepping into the past, away from the modern high-rises of Jinyan. I decided to book a hotel from Trip.com and stay here for the night. 🛏️ Taking Some Rest Before the Next Challenge The next day, I was feeling extremely tired, and I knew that the next part of my journey would have very few places to rest. So instead of pushing forward, I rode just 8 km and booked another hotel to give my body some extra rest. After days of constant cycling, this short break felt amazing. Now, I was ready for the next big ride! 👉 Stay tuned as I continue my journey toward Xining and explore more of China’s incredible landscapes and cities! 🚴♂️🇨🇳
