On 14 July 1971, ITN's Christopher Wain reported on the 2nd Battalion, Parachute Regiment (2 PARA) in Belfast. Having first been deployed to Northern Ireland in August 1969 as part of Operation Banner, 2 PARA had since completed a number of tours in the country.
