This Cobblemon Helped Me Write a Constitution

Welcome to Episode 19 on the BattleCraft SMP! After preparing for the upcoming tournament, it is time to address the unlawful taxation requested by the faction, Team Obsidian. But how can it be unlawful if there are no laws? It's time for a political revolution: constitution, political recruitment, and civic duty. Proposed Constitution: Preamble: We, the Players of Lumoria, in order to form a more perfect Server, establish Justice, ensure Creeper-free tranquility, provide for a common defense against hostile mobs, promote the general well-being of our biomes, and secure the blessings of Diamonds and Netherite to ourselves and our fellow crafters, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Lumoria Region. Article 1: Freedom of Speech | All Players shall have the right to express their thoughts freely in public and private chat channels, provided they do not spam, grief, or otherwise cause lag to the realm. Freedom of sign-post expression is also protected, so long as it doesn't contain offensive language or means. Article II: The Right to Bear Sword and Bow | The right of the Player to craft enchant, and wield weapons, armor, and potions shall not be infringed. No Player shall be disarmed without due process, except in designated PvP-free zones. Article III: No Forced Respawns | No Player shall, in time of peace, be forced to respawn without their consent. Forced respawns by moderators shall only occur in cases of severe glitching or rule-breaking. Article IV: Protection Against Unwarranted Raids | The right of the Players to secure their chests, shulker boxes, and homes against unreasonable raids and searches shall not be violated. Admins and moderators must obtain proper cause before entering or inspecting a Player's base or inventory. Article V: Due Process for Violations | No Player shall be receive punishment without a fair trial conducted by the Admin Council. Players have the right to appeal decisions and request a hearing at the Grand Court of Lumoria. The Jury is to be made of a group of representative peers, free of bias. Article VI: The Right to Remain Silent or AFK | Players shall not be compelled to respond in chat or participate in events against their will. The right to go AFK without harassment shall be protected, provided the payer does not exploit AFK mechanics. Article VII: Trial by Combat or Council | In disputes involving theft, griefing, loss of honor, trolling, pranking, or otherwise infringing upon given protected rights, players shall have the right to a fair trial, either by the Admin council or through consensual trial by combat, in an arena, with spectators witnessing. Pokemon battles also suffice. Article VIII: No Excessive Mob Spawners, Farms, or Lag Machines | Excessive bail shall not be required, no excessive mob spawners allowed, nor cruel and unusual lag machines tolerated. Players causing server lag through Redstone contraptions or mob farms shall be subject to regulation and possible inspection. Article IX: The People's Right to Build and Explore | The enumeration of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage other retained by the Player, including the right to build, explore, and terraform freely outside of protected or claimed areas. Article X: Power to the Players | The powers not delegated to the admins or Moderators by this Constitution are reserved to the Players themselves. Server rules, changes must be approved by a majority vote of active players. Article XI: Amendments | Proposed amendments to this Constitution must be presented to the Council and approved by two-thirds vote of the players. Amendments shall not diminish or endanger fundamental rights as outlined herein. The Final Block: With this Constitution, we lay the first stone of a free and fair Lumoria, where every Player has the right to mine, craft, and thrive, representation in a democratic process free of exploitation as deemed by the executive powers that are, and upheld by law-making administrators and a jury of peers at large.
