Kybella is an injectable medication that we use in the treatment of moderate to severe fat accumulation, especially in the chin area. It is currently the only FDA-approved treatment of its kind. IS IT SAFE? Yes. Kybella is FDA-approved. Our skillful medical professionals use artful precision to ensure your treatment is safe with beautiful results. WHO SHOULD GET DOUBLE-CHIN TREATMENT? Anyone that wants to reduce the presence of fat tissue around the chin and jawline or other areas such as the knees, abdomen, or around the bra line! We use Kybella treatments as an alternative to CoolSculpting and Liposuction. Both men and women love the quick, convenient treatment and the fact that you can go right back to what you have planned for the day. WHAT AREAS CAN I TREAT? We normally use Kybella to treat fat in the chin area; however, we may also use it to remove unwanted fat deposits in many areas, including your knees, abdomen, or around your bra line. WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO GET A KYBELLA TREATMENT? During your Kybella treatment, you will get multiple small injections with a small needle to the treatment area. Each injection will usually feel similar to a tiny pinprick. DOES IT HURT TO GET A CHIN FAT REMOVAL TREATMENT? Numbing agents are used during the injection process, so most people experience no sensation or pain at the injection site. You may feel a slight tingling or burning sensation in the treatment area after your procedure. These sensations are usually short-lived and will not interfere with your usual activities. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A DOUBLE-CHIN TREATMENT? Treatment under the chin will typically take up to 15 to 30 minutes. Other areas of the body, such as the knees, bra line, or abdomen, usually take around 30 minutes. HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS FROM DOUBLE-CHIN TREATMENT? You can expect to see results within a few weeks of treatment. WHAT KIND OF RESULTS CAN I EXPECT? Individuals treated with Kybella in a clinical study noticed up to 80% reduction in the size of their “double chin.” ARE DOUBLE-CHIN TREATMENT RESULTS PERMANENT? Yes! Kybella treatments target the fat cells, destroy them, and remove them. As long as you are not continuing to gain excess weight, you will notice a dramatic improvement within the first few treatments. DO I NEED TIME TO RECOVER FROM MY TREATMENT? No! You can return to your daily activities after treatment. When planning events after treatment, remember that it is possible for swelling or bruising to occur. WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF KYBELLA TREATMENT? Sometimes swelling, bruising, redness, areas of hardness, numbness, or pain may occur in the treated area. These are not all of the side effects; however, these are the most common. WHO SHOULD NOT BE TREATED WITH KYBELLA? If you have an infection in the treatment area or are pregnant or nursing, you should not be treated with Kybella. Individuals with bleeding abnormalities should use caution as bruising in the treatment area may occur. If you cannot receive the treatment, we have other options available, so don’t worry! WHICH TREATMENT IS FOR ME? KYBELLA OR COOLSCULPTING? Kybella can sometimes cause mild pain and/or swelling after treatment. If you’re looking for no social downtime, then cryolipolysis, or fat freezing, may be a better option. If you’re looking to treat a “double chin” as quickly as possible, then Kybella may be right for you.
