This is a fan studio remaster/remix of the 2008 demo mashup "Catch Me if You Can / Proclamation of Emancipation" released on the CitizensFOB mixtape. I've already tried cleaning up this demo to be independently listenable, but I wasn't satisfied. I used some stem splitter algorithms to get the multitracks of the demo, and then mixed & EQ'd them in my DAW. I really went all in, I separated each drum track individually and separated the center vocal channel from the rest, while mixing Stump's voice independently from McCoy's. I even went so far as to normalize and amplify certain sections of the kick and snare, because they just weren't consistent enough (You may also notice I removed even more of the SFX from the mixtape). However, I think this is the last of my efforts, and quite frankly, the closest we'll ever get to a STUDIO VERSION. In 2008, Fall Out Boy collaborated with DJ Clinton Sparks to release a mixtape called, "CitizensFOB Mixtape: Welcome to the New Administration" online. This was somewhat promotional material for their then-forthcoming album Folie A Deux, but also a compilation of some other artists on Pete Wentz's label, Decaydence Records. Many of Fall Out Boy's demos featured on this mixtape would show up on Folie. However, a few, like this song, were repurposed or later released. For example, "Lake Effect Boy" would later be completed and released as "Lake Effect Kid" on an EP of the same name. Interestingly, this song, originally featuring friend of the band, Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, was later given to the band via Patrick Stump, who produced their 2008 record, "The Quilt." Unfortunately, this is the only available version of the FOB demo version available, and there are quite a few sound effects and extra voices that were added to help it fit more within the context of the mixtape. You can find a download of the original mixtape here: https://archive.org/details/FOB-Citiz... Like I've said before, doing this sort of thing can only go so far, as you just can't recreate sound that wasn't there in the first place. All I could do was bring out the quieter nuances and such. Let me know if there's anything that sounds off, or if I should change anything. Enjoy!
