My next feature for you this Dungeon Synth Sunday is an album of melancholic dungeon flora from Chicago’s Nightshade; founding member of the Great Lakes Dungeon Synth collective that brings together kindred spirits from the ethereal planes of this Northern American region. The nine poignant vignettes of this album open with a grand monastic swell that sends mournful vibrations to the cloisters, descending in spirals and eddies of sombre radiance in two sets of untitled tracks, concluding with a trio of pieces named after poisonous flowers, to intoxicate the listener with the swirling shimmering vapours of summer’s warm night air. the album is available in digital format now from the Nightshade page of the Great Lakes collective Bandcamp, and will receive cassette editions in the near future through Weregnome Records EDIT: a tape was also planned for Moonworshipper, hence the logo in the video, but plans couldn’t work out, so it’s not happening any more.
