10 years of DRIVE: public funding x private innovation

DRIVE, the Development Related Infrastructure Investment Vehicle, was launched by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support public infrastructure projects in developing countries. Its purpose is to improve access to essential services such as water, healthcare, climate‑resilient systems, food security, and digital infrastructure. DRIVE bridges the gap between public needs and private-sector expertise. It combines public funding with private innovation, offering grants to partner governments so that essential infrastructure projects can become financially viable and ready for implementation. The programme is managed by Invest International on behalf of the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. Over the past decade, DRIVE enabled the construction of bridges, hospitals, water systems, and climate solutions across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. This video celebrates 10 years of partnership, innovation and impact, highlighting the projects, people and progress that have shaped the DRIVE programme since its beginning.
