Cheesy Potato Ball with Bacon and Cheetos Fried mashed potato ball loaded with cheese and bacon and rolled over crushed Cheetos making it more flavorful. The mellow taste of Potato infused with the smokey flavor of bacon and the creamy and salty flavor of cheese just make this dish so heavenly. So soft, so gooey, so cheesy and oh so delicious! Try this recipe now and turn your usual potato balls to a whole new level. FACEBOOK: / lutonijuanph Ingredients: 7 medium Potatoes 1 tbsp Salt for boiling 1 L Water 1 tsp Salt for the potato ball mixture 1 tsp Ground Pepper 1 tbsp Sugar 1/2 cup Flour 1/2 cup Cornstarch 1 pack Bacon 1 block Mozzarella Cheese 1 pc Egg 1 cup Crushed Cheetos for breading Procedure. 1. Peel potatoes and cut into 4 pieces. 2. In a deep pan, boil water (enough to cover the potatoes). Once boiling, add salt and potatoes. Cook until soft. 3. Drain the water and transfer boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl 4. Mash boiled potatoes until smooth and set aside. 5. Cut bacon into small bits. 6. Fry over medium heat until crisp. 7. Let cool. 8. Add salt, ground pepper and sugar into the mashed potato, then mix. 9. Add the flour and cornstarch. 10. Mix mashed potato mixture until well incorporated. 11. Add the crispy bacon bits and continue mixing until well combined. 12. Scoop potato ball mixture. 13. Flatten and add cheese at the center. I used Mozzarella cheese because it's fun to eat with all the gooeyness 😂 But you may also use other types of cheese as per your preference. 14. Wrap the potato mixture into the cheese and shape into ball. 15. Continue this process until all the mixture has been used. 16. Freeze the potato balls for at least 2 hrs. 17. Dip potato ball into the beaten egg and roll into the crushed Cheetos. Regular bread crumbs may also be used. I used crushed Cheetos for more cheesy flavor. 18. Heat cooking oil and fry potato balls in low to medium heat. 19. Flip occasionally to cook evenly. 20. Cooked until golden. 21. Serve and enjoy 🙂
