Infested With Spider Mites, Dwarf English Boxwood - Spring 2021
These two Boxwood are dwarf version. I planned to have them in the vase shape container (not in the plastic pot) for display at the front entrance. The dwarf size will reduce the need to prune regularly. However, I have not been paying much attention to it till I found an obvious spider mite infection last September. The marks on the leaves are left by the spider mites. I did not try to look for the mites but I sprayed once with insecticidal soap and replaced the top layer of soil. Soon after, both the Boxwood and the spider mites have gone dormant. I do not want to give up yet and will place them away from other plants once weather warms up. Hope they do not die on me.
