She serves as the Surgical Tumour Group Chair for Gynecology at BC Cancer, Chair of the Priority and Evaluations Committee (PEC) and the Research and Outcomes Evaluation Committee (ROEC) at BC Cancer, and co-Chair of the National BRCA Collaborative. Dr. Kwon’s research focuses on hereditary cancer syndromes and health policy in gynecologic oncology, including cost-effectiveness modeling of genetic testing and risk-reducing strategies, and de-escalation of treatment. Her work has influenced national guidelines on BRCA and Lynch syndrome testing, shaping cancer prevention and treatment strategies. She has received both teaching and research excellence awards.
