@cjpenning Thank you for the added information. At 4:22 I think the sign reads "Furnished Apartments", and that is the Dome Apartments at 2nd and Grand. They had a fire on July 25, 1964. The Los Angeles Opera house appears at 5:12. The film used in this video was produced in 1964 on 8mm film. I also use a few still photographs and postcards from my own library for reference. We will be looking at downtown Los Angeles. More specifically the areas around City Hall, the lost neighborhood of Bunker Hill and the Angels Flight Railroad. Views of the following buildings or locations are also in the film. Cinerama Dome, City Hall, Post Office and Federal building, the Hall of Justice, the Hall of Records , the LA Times building, Grauman's Chinese Theater and J.J. Newberry’s.
