The recording of the network programmability stream which occurred on 2019/08/18 On this stream I was installing GNS3 and testing CSR1000V lab on my new PC featuring AMD Ryzen 9 3900x. It is one of the newest desktop processors which has 12 cores / 24 threads and I purchased it specifically for running virtual machines/streaming/gaming. It took some effort to get it working (installing a particular kernel so KVM can run without issues), but in the end it did work perfectly. Now I am able to run big labs locally on my computer which is amazing. Probably one of the best investments you can do if you are a network engineer and want to run labs without having a dedicated server.
