What do you call a planchet of two clad metals where the middle only has one? Or, did someone plate this twice? The coin should have a sold brass appearance. To make it look like brass only closer to the edge, you'd have to plate it solidly in steel or other nickel-colored metals and then spray-pain brass around the edge. While some smooth surfaces appear to have a gritty spray-painted look, I've seen other brilliant uncirculated South African coins with the same gritty look. Some details I can see in the video which I couldn't see with just my eye: On the shield side, with the animal on the left, there is a bump by the hip. Also, the 2 in 20c has a similar spot in the corner. Sorry for the confusion with Brass vs. Bronze. I've seen both listed in Krause Catalogs for this coin. #Numismatics #CoinCollecting #ForeignCoins #WorldCoins
