We are continuing our journey from central Arkansas up to southern Missouri. We don't have any definite plans or schedules today, so we're just riding north. We are hoping for a shorter ride today so our butts can recuperate from sitting on the Cubs' seats for nearly 14 hours yesterday. We left the Nimrod Dam area at around 11:30am and started north toward Harrison, AR. The pace was more relaxed and we had a good ride... plenty of stops to stretch our legs and enjoy the scenery along the way. We arrived at Coombs Ferry, Table Rock Lake, Missouri... in the rain... only to find that it was designated "NO CAMPING". Phooey... stealth camping, here we come! We had the whole peninsula to ourselves that night (almost), and we didn't have any problems other than really heavy rain. There were some teenagers drinking and partying until nearly 2am, but everything was fine after that. We woke up early Friday morning to a misty, dreary sky that foretold the weather for that day's ride. We were soaking wet from the previous night, and it didn't get much better... but that's a story for the next episode!
