Practise external locative cases with everyday examples! For efficient practise: 1. First watch the video. 2. Then watch again and pause after each practise sentence to repeat after me. 3. Watch again and speak out loud at the same time with me using the subtitles as help. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * You can often reason whether you need to use the internal or external locative cases by thinking if you're inside or outside or putting something inside something, like keys to a bag or onto something, like keys on the table. Anyhow as always in life, there's also some exceptions: Even though you're inside a station (asema), in Finnish we say asemalle, asemalla, asemalta, using external locative cases. And even though when you're in a forest (metsä) or a park (puisto), you're technically outside, in Finnish we say metsään, metsässä, metsästä and puistoon, puistossa, puistosta - so use the internal locative cases. The names of cities, towns and villages live completely in their own world and we use the endings which the locals are using. In this video you can learn which cases the biggest places in Finland uses!
