This is easily the most stressful of any of the coin challenges in the whole game. To get all 31 coins in this course, you have to do this backtracking strategy to get back to the row of four cannons. In addition to the angle and speed of Mario's momentum after launching away from the pull star needing to be correct, Mario's back must be turned toward the sling pod for him to get a slight speed boost and make it all the way back. To do this, move the pointer over Mario in the direction you want him to spin, and he'll spin that direction. Time this so that he faces backwards just as the pull star's effects are about to wear off. Then there's the matter of actually getting the coins from all those cannons! The majority of the cannons in this level require you to launch Mario across a gap to collect the coin, meaning that 12 of the coins in this level are one-time-chances. And because it's not easy to determine which cannonballs you've already gotten coins from, it can be a real hassle. After I got back to the row of four cannons after getting the rest of the coins at the start, I put my controller down to wipe the sweat off my hands and my heart was beating like crazy!
