How to Charge LiFePO4 Batteries at 50 Amps

Get this battery charger here: https://amzn.to/3RFdqRI I needed a battery charger to charge all those 12V LiFePO4 batteries and this one is it. Mainly because it has a fixed voltage which will prevent inadvertent voltage changes but allows for current adjustments for charger of batteries of various sizes. Initially, I didn't like the clamps too much since it appeared a bit thin and the plastic melted a bit. It turns out it was a bit of user error as I did not clamp it securely enough around the battery posts. Simply clamping the nut is not enough, you have to make sure to expand it as wide as possible to put the most force AND try to get as many teeth around the post as possible, not just 2 points of contact but try to use the curve of the battery clamp to get 3-4 teeth on each side to touch the post. Doing this actually made it so that I could charge up to 50A at its maximum without overheating. With a simple clamp the bolts at the tip and the clips horizontal, I could only go up to 20A and it will heat up to 130F.
