I was messing around with some Orange amps in Amplitube 4 that I never really messed around with. I was toying with the idea of paying for Joe Satriani's new plugin called 'Boston 100' - which is basically a Rockman X100. It's very close to the Rockman sound. But, I wanted to buy some new parts for this Les Paul instead (namely a Graph-Tech 'Reso-Max' graphite bridge that I'm curious about). I kind of messed up the one on this guitar - not BADLY, but it does need to be replaced. So, I decided that I would try out a bunch of amps in the Boston 1976 preset I created. I tried just about every amp that was in the program and was pleasantly surprised by these Orange amps! The 'Terror' ones were decent. But, THIS ONE: 'Thunderverb 200' was way above the rest! I applied it to the preset and made all the necessary adjustments. And here it is! NOTE: The reason I play those repeated notes at the end of the solo parts in 'More Than A Feeling' is because I don't possess one of Tom Scholz's 'infinite sustain' gadgets! 'More Than A Feeling' and 'Foreplay/Long Time' are from Boston's 1976 debut album and are written by Tom Scholz. SIGNAL CHAIN: GUITAR: SX Callisto STD +ds - Stock. No mods. None needed. - Bought for $175 from Rondo Music on a sale. The guitar is normally $190. It's worth every penny! This is an amazing Les Paul! It's exactly the same specs (other than the pickups/hardware) of a Gibson.
