Members of GLOE come from a wide array of other Utah and Pennsylvania-based projects such as Rile, Visitors, Grass, and Dustbloom which manage to converge in a territory self-coined as "Mathgaze", a progressive genre that incorporates elements of mathrock, shoegaze, experimental, doom, and posthardcore.
