One Tractor, Two Tools — How We Mulch and Cultivate in One Go | FS 25 | Hof Bergmann | Timelapse #13

Welcome back to the Hof Bergmann Farm Timelapse. We start the day by focusing on crop care to get the best possible yields. First, we attach a roller to the tractor and head out to roll the newly sown field, improving seed-to-soil contact and boosting crop growth. Next, we switch gears to fields preparation for the next round of planting. To do this efficiently, we sell our old equipment and invest in a new mulcher and a new cultivator, both selected with the same working width. By mounting the mulcher on the front of the tractor and the cultivator on the rear, we can perform mulching and cultivating in a single pass, saving time and fuel. After finishing one field using this method, we send a hired worker to prepare the second field the same way. Meanwhile, we expand our farm’s production capabilities by building a compost bunker. We try to unload chopped beets into the bunker, but it won’t accept either chopped or whole beets. Since chopped beets have a higher market value, we decide to sell them instead. To make use of the compost bunker, we load it with fodder that has been stored in our warehouse for a long time — including straw, grass, and silage — ensuring nothing goes to waste. While we handle the composting setup, our assistants finish preparing the fields. Once the soil is ready, we move quickly to sow wheat in one field and plant corn in the other, keeping the crop rotation strong and the farm productive.
