Tender chunks of beef and earthy mushrooms are pressure-cooked in the Instant Pot to develop deep, savoury flavour in a fraction of the usual time. NEW FACEBOOK PAGE - / backyardchefscasualkitchen NOTE: You have to answer all membership questions to join it's fully automated and accept group rules Ingredients 🥩 Filling (Instant Pot) • Stewing beef (chuck or shin, diced) – 500g | 1.1 lb | 2 cups (UK & US) • Chestnut or button mushrooms (sliced, diced thick) – 400g | 14 oz • Onion (finely chopped) – 1 medium | 150g • Garlic (minced) – 2 cloves | 2 tsp | 6g • Tomato purée – 1 tbsp | 15g • Mixed Herbs - 1 heaped tsp • BRITISH Mixed Herbs TRADITIONAL blend com... • Worcestershire sauce – 1 tbsp | 15ml • Beef stock – 250ml | 1 cup (UK & US) • Cornflour (for thickening) – 1 tbsp | 8g • Water (for slurry) – 1 tbsp | 15ml • Salt – 1 tsp | 5g • Black pepper – ½ tsp | 2g • Cooking oil – 1 tbsp | 15ml 🥟 Suet & Butter Pastry • Self-raising flour – 200g | 7 oz | 1⅓ cups (UK), 1⅔ cups (US) • Shredded suet (beef or veg) – 100g | 3.5 oz • Cold butter (cubed) – 40g | 1.4 oz | 3 tbsp • Dried thyme – 1 pinch | about ¼ tsp | 0.5g • Salt – ½ tsp | 2g • Cold water – 60ml | 4 tbsp | ¼ cup (UK & US), plus more if needed Meat - Pressure Cook (High) for 25 minutes. Let pressure naturally release for 10 minutes, then quick release. Pudding - Pressure Cook (High) for 45 minutes. Quick release, lift out the basin, rest for 5 mins, then turn out and serve.
