On the Nicoya Peninsula and Pacific Coast of Costa Rica you will find many beach towns along the coast and Samara is one of them. Not one of the more touristy towns in Costa Rica, Samara still remains quite laid back and local, but with the growth of Costa Rica who knows for how long. I arrived and plan to spend a few days here before heading north up the Nicoya of Costa Rica to Tamarindo, also on the Pacific Coast. Today, I wandered through the small town of Samara, and up to a beautiful viewpoint looking over the beach of Samara Costa Rica below. My favourite coast, do not care what people say, is definitely the Pacific Coast, Costa Rica included. Something about the waves, the jagged rocks, sweeping bays and dark grainy sand that excites me.
