Imgur gallery: https://imgur.com/gallery/ljs1CrW Got this small baby down here off of the flea market, dirt cheap. Didn't expect much else than me trying to fix it for days, and I am NOT a fan of Japanese tech, with its ton of wires inside, but to my great surprise it worked just fine when i plugged it in. only real problem it had was a burned dial light and the stereo LED which got dim after 40 years (I've replaced it with an orange one, I think that it suit better the whole image of the receiver). The majority of caps were within specs too, surprisingly. I ended up replacing most, but i left the main power rails ones and added another 2x10000 uF to the existing 2x6800. The reception quality is excellent, sensitivity 1.8 uV for 300 ohms/26dB SNR in FM. Basically all stations come in easily, little to no noise and with excellent stereo imagery. This small thing really is something. The power output is 2x30W in 4 ohms, and it's enough to blow my ears. The only thing that kinda isn't so good is the lack of proper bass EQ, it just drops at one point, doesn't have the finesse of true loudness eq that the European receivers with multi-tapped pots had. Guess ROTEL had to safe such features for the higher tier models.
