The MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G EXPERT OC Edition video card brings MSI's unique "Founders Edition" inspired style and design build to the GeForce RTX 50 Series. MSI has launched its new EXPERT series graphics cards for the GeForce RTX 50 Series generation, with the launch of the GeForce RTX 5080 EXPERT and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti EXPERT. The MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G EXPERT OC features a factory overclock of 2715MHz GPU Boost, and 16GB of GDDR7, all wrapped up in MSI's unique push/pull fan design with a fan on the front, and a fan on the back and 3D mesh textured grill. This video card has an MSRP of $1,299.99 on MSI's storefront. We've got the full retail card to look at today, and in this video, we'll show off the video card visually with a top-down camera, and talk about its features, and show you this video card in a visual manner - no benchmarks or graphs in this video, just commentary and an overview to give you an idea of what to expect if you are interested. The MSI GeForce RTX 5080 16G EXPERT OC (G5080-16EC) features MSI's Flow Frozr 2 thermal design and Stormforce fans. There is one large fan on the front that pushes air down onto the heatsink and exhausts out the back I/O, while the second fan on the reverse side pulls air through the 3D vented mesh and through the heatsink and exhausts out the back. The entire video card is encased in die-cast aluminum and features an appealing gold and black color scheme. This video card is much larger than an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition at 319mm x 150mm x 60mm (12.55″ x 5.9″ x 2.3″ inches), so be sure you have ample room in your case. It requires a single 16-pin 12VHPWR connector, and has 1x HDMI and 3x DisplayPorts on board with PCIe 5.0 x16 support. MSI Afterburner is supported, and overclocking can be done with an up to 11% TDP boost for extra power headroom. In our testing, we overclocked it, tested temperature, power, and fan speeds. In addition we tested 10 games at 4K with raster, DLSS Upscaling, and Ray Tracing with DLSS Upscaling in our full written review.
