Camped at the nearby Gold Bluffs campground and hiked Fern Canyon Trail Loop at the Prairie Creek Redwoods National and State Park. It's a one mile loop trail, but not very well marked. This hike takes a pit of planning as permits are now required but not if you have reservations to the gold bluffs campground. The fern canyon reminds me a lot of the Narrows at Zion National park. It's very wet and I recommend hiking poles if you don't want to get your shoes wet.
