"Corridor 9" is the second single from my upcoming solo album, "Untogether", out on CD and all streaming platforms on April 10. Pre-orders are available now: https://jakedryzal.bandcamp.com/album... Pre-save for streaming here: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/jak... "Untogether" comprises of long-lost originals that never saw the light of day when they were first written. Most of these songs were penned with Blue Navy in mind and were demoed alongside the material for "Mine". After the release of "Mine", I planned on creating an acoustic-driven Blue Navy EP entitled "Ours", but that idea never materialized, and "Ours" ultimately evolved into an entirely different record. While working on "Yours" and the début Great American Racer album, I began to revisit these early demos, and realized that some of these songs deserved a second chance at life. After all, these songs were constructed during a transitional yet largely creative time in my musical life, and for that, I love them. Going into the studio and giving these eight songs a fresh coat of paint was an unbelieveably rewarding experience for me. I am so happy that these songs can now finally breathe. I hope you enjoy the song, and soon, the album. LYRICS: You live west of here But your direction, I won't steer We've had a good run, I'd say But we have seen much better days The cuts on your legs that must bleed And the soul you did not feed You never cared for yourself Nor did you care about our health The perfection that we once were Did not satisfy her She ripped my heart into fours And fled through these narrow corridors Outside, my arms are open But inside, I'm broken We've had a good run, I'd say But she decided not to stay
