Saint Francis of Assisi (in Italian Saint Francesco d'Assisi, born Giovanni di Pietro Bernardone; Assisi, 1181/11825 -ibidem, October 3, 1226) 1 is an Umbrian (Italian) saint, deacon, also known as " Father Francisco "and founder of the Franciscan Order, of a second order known as the Poor Clare Sisters and a third known as the third secular order, all emerged under the authority of the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages.
