As described by the tour guide, the USS George Washington CVN-73 was completing its refueling complex overhaul at the Newport News Shipyard and USS John Stennis CVN-74 had recently left the naval base to begin the same process at Newport News. The guide indicated carriers Harry S. Truman CVN-75 and Gerald R. Ford CVN-78 recently left port. The Ford shortly after underwent shock trials at sea:   / 1406261060248784902   Based on the missile hatches, the submarine seen at 35:57 appears to be a Virginia class SSN. The guide's comment about the nickname "Ghost Gator" is incorrect.
