Auld Lang Syne has long been a traditional song in Scotland with its lyrics written by Robert Burns set to a traditional Scottish folk melody and is now sung around the world at many special occasions. The title translates to 'for old times' sake' and at the stroke of midnight many of us sing this ancient melody to say farewell to the old year and bring in the new, and remember friends, family and good times.
