Entering 2016 with coverage of the Severn Valley Railway's annual service, with follows their highly, demanding and popular 'Santa steam special' with a festive season service. This was also our final glimpse of the Severn Valley's locomotive to be seen hauling operational public services as of winter maintenance (in due the restoration of Bewdley station island platform canopy) until the February Half Term Holidays, in order to inspect the railway's infrastructure for safety and amend any amenities that occur within winter maintenance period. Once again the Severn Valley railways home locomotive fleet performed rather well, in awful weather conditions and the occasion lapse in visibility was also some what present.
