While exploring South Florida, we took an airboat ride through the Florida Everglades near Homestead at the Everglades Alligator Farm. The moment the engine roared to life, we were skimming across shallow marsh, sawgrass, and open water. The ride was fast, loud, and smoother than expected. Then the captain spun the boat in a full circle and sent water flying. If you were sitting in the wrong spot, you were getting wet. We’re used to exploring backroads on four wheels, but this was a completely different kind of adventure.
