Muhammad Rafiq Dhanoa was about 13 to 14 years old at the time of the India-Pakistan partition in 1947. He left his village Khajurla and reached Pakistan along with his family members and village fellows. Muhammad Rafiq Dhanoa has settled in Chak No. 23 MB, in the Khushab district of Pakistani Punjab. Mr. Jass Nijjar a renowned Punjabi singer also belongs to Khajurla village. Mr. Nijjar is living in the USA nowadays. He struggled a lot to trace his old residents of his native village. At last, after a long long struggle, he succeeded to to find them in Pakistan through advertisements on social media. The old man is recorded at his request. Mr. Jass Nijjar has dedicated this video to his village fellows. Khajurla is a village in Phagwara Tehsil in Kapurthala district of Punjab State, India. It is located 42 kilometers (26 mi) from Kapurthala, 14 kilometers (8.7 mi) from Phagwara. The village is administrated by a Sarpanch who is an elected representative. Jalandhar Cantonment and Chiheru are the nearest railway stations to Khajurla; the Jalandhar City railway station is 11 km away. The village is 107 km from Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar and the nearest airport is Sahnewal Airport in Ludhiana which is located 49 km away from the village.
