This is a recipe video on how to make authentic New Mexico Red Chile Sauce (Chile Colorado) from dried red chile pods! You can use this sauce for enchiladas, menudo, pozole/posole, chile con carne, chilaquiles, huevos ranchero, papas con chile or just a side sauce for any Mexican dish! My mom was teaching me how to make this :) we got our red chile pods from New Mexico, my aunt lives there, but you can find it in some grocery stores and I found it on Amazon (link below). This turned out pretty spicy but really delicious! It made quite a bit so if you want to make less then use less pods than we did! Vegan Tofu Menudo: http://bit.ly/1THACMq Ingredients: -New Mexico Dried Red Chile Pods (http://amzn.to/2sHCHRD) -Garlic powder -Salt -Cumin powder -Dried oregano Directions: -Rinse then remove the stems and seeds from the pods -Put them in a pot and fill with water to cover most of the pods -Boil then simmer for about 30minutes until soft -Let cool for a bit then add them to the blender with some of the boiled water -Add more water if needed -Add spices then blend -Strain using a mesh strainer Amazon link to buy: http://amzn.to/2sHCHRD ✖️ Q&A form!
