Let your voice be heard in the comment section below. The Yamaha JX series amps feature warm sounding solid state circuits, and were made in Japan from the late 70s' until the early to mid 80s'. The cleans are somewhat like a Roland Jazz Chorus, (which many people regard as the best solid state amp of all times). Both amplifiers in featured in this video have a pullout gain boost volume controll, and master volume for adding overdrive to the amp's core sound. They also feature controls for treble, middle, bass and reverb. The JX 40 also includes a 3 way mode switch for altering where the mid range and bass frequencies sit. Anything from clean, to edge of breakup to fairly heavily saturated gain sounds are possible, and in particular I find getting the edge of breakup sound from a solid state amp is rare.
