Put in practice what you learn - What you learn you can go out and practice after class and have plenty of time to have fun and enjoy the destination. 4. Improve your CV - Being more proficient in a foreign language is excellent for career prospects. 5. Become a local - You'll get to know the place better as you'll have more time to see and do things. You can do things like visit your favourite coffee shop every day and maybe even get to know the barista and practice your language skills with them. 6. Make international friends - Studying languages abroad is great for making new friends. Most schools run activities that connect you with other students and you may become friends for life or connect with them again if you end up moving to that country. 7. You never know what it may lead you - Studying a language abroad can be life changing. You never know how it will affect your life path or who you’ll meet.
