Support the Channel at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/walkfrom... Shot on Saturday 26th April 2025, 12:30am NZST Come with me for a morning walk around the Christchurch Central City. We have a lot to see today, it's cracking weather and there are lots of people out and about. We start off walking along a nice scenic part of the city, along the Avon River. We walk past the Antigua Boat sheds, I really wanted to go punting.. or at least into the cafe. We cross the bridge and circle around past the Christchurch Hospital and then back onto the main City Promenade. Along the Promenade we pass a great bar, the Pegasus Arms, it stands between some large high rise buildings, in contrast to the leafy Avon river. Next up is the Wall of remembrance, Jimmy's smoke house and a good shot of a local church. Then we pass through the bridge of remembrance, and up along the riverside. The town is quite busy today, we take some time to view some of the main attractions in the city, Te Pae Convention Centre, The Christchurch Cathedral, Turanga Library, and then there are the two theatres, the Isaac Royal and the Court. I am super excited to go into the new Court Theatre, it looks really fancy in there. Following on from this we check out New Regent Street and the tram station. After this we circle around the east side of the city, there is an impressive Church Bar which has some friendly locals outside, I've been there at night time and they have great live music. We cross down Manchester Street and try to get a glimpse of all the new townhouses and of course the stadium. We then circle back through Cashel street, the the main shopping district and back to the bridge of Remembrance. I found a new subscriber at a local protest! He was certainly interested in my video, but he kept asking strange questions, like are you with us? and who are you with? I also saw another protester who looked just like my dad (The Maori holding two flags). Let me know in the comments if there is anywhere in Christchurch that you want to see filmed this year and I'll try get it done! Camera: DJI Pocket 3
