DiscoveryOpt NV001 - The new night vision add on from DiscoveryOpt

In this video I take a look at a new product from Discovery Optics, now also known as DiscoveryOpt. This is an upgraded version of the original NV001, which now includes the ability to take photos and 1920x1080 video, it also has a built in 850nm ir torch and laser. It comes with all the accessories to get you started, including, battery and power connector usb cable. All you need to add is a micro SD card to start recording. The best way to get set up is to focus your rifle scope in first, and paralax it to the ditance that you are going to shoot at, then fit and switch on the NV001 scope and focus it into the scope using the two focus rings. Remember, these are not dedicated scopes, but add on scopes for you to record what you see, or turn any scope into a night vision rifle scope. It will work with most scopes with an eye lens cylinder diameter of up to 46.5mm. Make sure to wear your reading glasses if you need them, as you will need to be able to focus the scope in with your eye and the focus rings. I thought I had problems with the scope at first, but it turned out to be my short sightedness, so you either need close work glass, or back off a little to get a bit more distance with your eye relief. With this in mind the scopes come with weave/pic mounts, but if you need to move the scope further along the rifle, you may need to consider purchasing long reach mounts. In future tests I will be doing field testing, both day and night, and also do box tests with this fitted to the other new DiscoveryOpt scope, the LHD-NV 3 x 12 - 42 SFIR second focal plane scope that I will be unboxing in the next video.
