On 11 October 2025, The Graystones took the stage and performed 23 songs at a school fundraiser in Northern California. There was a beautiful crowd! Some flew in from Mexico, New Jersey, Indiana, Arizona and more. It was an amazing show with a loving audience and wonderful energy! The show we did the week prior had a family fly in from Brazil! A whole family!!! (and we're still trying to identify them to give them a personal message from us... so if that was you, please email us at [email protected]) This song was the 22nd song in the set. So, the band was pretty exhausted. Grayson: sorry about the camera angle for the drummer - but it's him on drums :) Max: bass Izzy: vocals Harin: keys Philip: sax Evan: trombone Some questions and answers below: Behind the sound: This sound is as raw as it gets - it's even more raw sounding than what you'd get videoing it in the audience with an iphone, all flaws exposed fully. We usually try to present our music as best we can and put out the version of the music that we are happiest with. Not here. Here, you're hearing what was sent to the speakers live - actually this is worse than what the audience heard live. It sounded so much better in the audience where you have a big PA speaker, you have a cheering crowd and you have the energy of a live show all mixed together into a complete and wonderful experience. You don't get any of those benefits on this video. And you hear all the mistakes much more clearly on this than through the PA speakers or having an iPhone recording that muffles everything. But we hope you enjoy it still the same and appreciate the rawness. Behind the pix: We apologize for the picture quality (and for hiding Grayson's face) A listener who video'd this, graciously gifted us the pix for this song since our own cameras had problems near the end of the show - big shout out to Elton for helping us! You might see some flashing images reflecting in the windows. Those are carnival rides going on behind the stage. It was also very windy and cold in the shade of the stage and the band was struggling to keep their fingers warm enough to play. Live Stream? We don't have any plans to live stream our shows yet. If we change that in the future, we'll let you know. Why only 1 song and not the full show? It's a great question and we're sure a lot of you would like the full show. We have 2 concerns on this: The first is that a video of a show is a small fraction of the impact, quality, excitement and beauty of the same show heard live and we don't want to share songs that sound much worse on a video that we're not mixing. When the large, world famous bands put out a video of a full show, they have a massive crew with tons of cameras and tons of sound people and an entirely different team dedicated to the post production sound to make that concert sound as great as possible. And all of those people are professionals with decades of experience. Here, we have 1 or 2 parents who are totally amature that run around and do everything... so we're not at a place where we can share a full show at the quality that you deserve. The second reason is that we don't want to have our lovely listeners start to get overrun and bored hearing the same lower quality songs show after show and wear out the magic of the songs. Please understand that we will release a song or 2 here and there from various live shows throughout the years but that we won't release full shows - yet. A day may come!!
