Sunday, August 3, 2025, this is the fourth day of a three week vacation on which I road tripped from Glenwood Springs, CO to north of Seatle, WA and then back. Along the way I drove through numerous National Parks. Today I made the drive from Fort Bragg, CA to Bandon, OR and went to the Redwoods National and State Parks. If you go to Redwoods, I highly recommend taking the Avenue of the Giants road. There are several places to turn off and hike through the massive redwoods and there are giant trees right along the road as you drive. Another good bypass through the trees was Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway where I found a couple of trails to hike that I had all to myself. Aside from the giant trees, there are also great overlooks along the coast with spectacular views of the ocean and beaches.
