This is not a video about how to "cope" with rejection but rather, a video that offers a new perspective on what we have been calling "rejection". We propose the feeling of rejection resides in the past. Attached to those feelings are painful memories of being alone, abandoned and even fears of death. These occurred for us during childhood and can be triggered as adults. Rejection, as we know it in our adulthood, is merely relationship negotiation where one party wants something the other party does not. This simple perspective is not necessarily simple to integrate but breaking it down in these terms can be a soothing way to approach the tenderness "rejection" can conjure.
