WIND RIVER HIGH ROUTE: Day 5 - Camp Lake to Titcomb Basin | MY HARDEST DAY EVER!

Join me and my friend Blake as we tackle a high route in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming, a big bucket list item for each of us. We opted to do the somewhat tamer route of 'Adventure' Alan Dixon and Don Wilson rather than the Andrew Skurka route. This was in part because of logistics and also to build up experience for a potential attempt at the Skurka version in the future. This video features highlights from day five of our seven day adventure. This day would go down as the hardest, most grueling day of backpacking I've ever experienced to date. While the distance covered was only about 11 miles, it was the terrain that challenged us to our cores as we had to navigate the almighty Alpine Lakes Basin followed by an ascent of Alpine Pass, a traverse across Knife Point Glacier and then an ascent up Indian Pass before finishing with a descent down through Indian Basin to its junction with Titcomb Basin. Within those 11 miles we had to press through a 7 mile stretch of off-trail route-finding that consisted almost entirely of rock, talus, scree, snow, and ice.
