Today we have a friends truck that is showing a battery light on the dash panel. This usually indicates that there is a failure with the charging system. Most likely causes is a bad alternator or a loose ground connection in the charging system We were thrown a small curve because the battery also had a bad cell. So not only did we have to replace the battery, we also ended up replacing the alternator that also tested bad. All in all it is an easy to do repair for the average guy. Remember to make sure the serpentine belt is centered on all the pulleys when re-installing. Good luck and thanks for watching.
